Elixir of an idea.

I spent the 'post exam- pre vacation' period of 2019 with grandparents at Trivandrum'  in Gaulish village with Asterix and party,  having spent day and night pouring over the complete collection of the comic. While not being impresed by the  health benefits of Kalari which I had been practicing for the previous 10 months,( though according to achan has  very good and obvious effects: chistled chest, firm and flat stomach and  great posture blah, blah blah )I  was convinced that the only way to attain super power is to invent an elixir as Getafix do. The start of vacation  at Trivandrum resulted in escape from the miseries  of kalari and  upturn in financial fortunes (though I regretted missing a rather big Vishukkaineettam from achamma ) with special  rates for massages and facial forcefully delivered to Muthachan. I coul use these  intimate sessions with Muthachan to get peeks into Murhachan's financial health and further analysis of the same.  On learning that the main source of Muthachan's income is his pension, i  also gathered that it will last only till Muthachan lasts. I am   in the quest for an elixir to keep muthachan in the pension-earning (and possibly story telling)state for ever. I know   from what i have seen in kalari that any amount of massage can do only as much as it does and the sutuation calls for an elixir to be invented.

2nd Grade School day

A few days back I had my school day. Unlike the last three years, this year's school day was more relaxed for me as I was a tree. All I had to do was stand and sway to music. Earlier when Amma had asked if I am doing anything for the school day and I told them that I am a tree achan wanted to know what kind of tree I was - coconut tree or teak or what? He wanted me to ask the teacher but of course I did not. Anyway, on school day, after a long wait when it was finally our program (A musical based on Cindrella - amma thinks it couldn't get more sexist) I was a bit worried that I was put to the back of the stage and wondered if my amma and achan could see me. In fact when I saw them after I asked them if they could see me and amma said yes and that I was the best tree as I had beautiful yellow leaves unlike the other trees on the stage which were the usual green or a very strange purple. And that I swayed perfectly to the beat of the music. I was happy hearing that.

The next day amma and I were going to Thiruvanathapuram and I told amma that I didn't like being a tree. She looked a bit worried and asked what I wanted to be. I saw her frowning as I told her I want to be a HUMUN...which turned into a relieved smile when I completed
...GOUSAUR (One of Ben 10's alien force). She has agreed that I can be a humungousaur next school day. Yay!!!

The 1st one at the lovely

CWRDM campus. My big brother was

helping not me, but my cruel father :((. His soft touch tightened to an iron grip whenever I moved.

The 2nd at the Zahn dental hospital,

Nadakavu. Much better than Achan's `string and pull'. I did not know what to expect.The dentist was a magician with the syringe.

The 3rd at the same hospital, but a 

different dentist. I told him what exactly to do from what I remembered from chapter 2. I also demanded the tooth back and he agreed but,  claimed that he will extract Rs. 2800/-(100 per tooth) from me in the coming days. On the way back home Achan agreed to pay Rs 100/- to me per teeth extracted at home. Not a bad deal I guess. I am in the process of collecting money for a bow and arrow.

The 4th at home with help from Achan.

Rs. 100/- or dentist was a difficult  decision to make, but the archer in me won. I couldn't stop laughing at my new look.

The 5th again at home by Achan. Now I can eat without opening my mouth. Wonder whether the dentist is closing the shop.

My first trip to the Cinema

Last weekend I went for my first movie at a cinema. SPIDERMAN in 3D. I had a great time. One thing I don't understand is why 'the chetan' was not spiderman all the time....the times when he was not spiderman was quite boring and then I got a bit restless. Now I occasionally sit on my knees and hand as spiderman does and look all important. The 'valla' (web) that I spin on my amma when she gets out of control unfortunately doesn't seem to work.Guess she is an even bigger monster than that big 'palli' (lizard).
